Q&A
FAQ
Yes. Carrier RCS gateway probing plus a device compatibility database give ≥98% accuracy. We check not only whether the carrier offers RCS, but also whether the device supports it (such as native Google Messages on Android, Samsung Messages, iOS 18+) and whether the user has turned off business messaging (RBM). Numbers where the carrier supports RCS but the device doesn't, or the user has disabled RCS, are marked "SMS only" instead of RCS reachable.
We focus on high RCS-penetration markets: the US (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile), UK (Vodafone, EE, O2), Germany (Telekom, Vodafone), France (Orange), India (Jio, Airtel), Brazil (Vivo, Claro), Mexico (Telcel), Japan (NTT Docomo, SoftBank) and more. RCS rollout differs by country and carrier, and results show the specific RCS reachability. In markets where RCS isn't widespread yet (such as parts of Africa), results report "not enabled by carrier" and we recommend SMS or WhatsApp instead.
